DRAMSC U12 – U18 HOUSE LEAGUE REFEREE INSTRUCTIONS/RULES

Campus Field / High School Field / Grouse Park Field

 

Game Specifics

·        All games are full-field, 11 per side on field including goalkeeper. 

·        Minimum number of players per team is 7. 

·        Games start at 6:45 (10 minute grace may be allowed for players to arrive).

·        If one or both teams have insufficient numbers, teams may elect to play if both coaches agree.

    • The team with less than the minimum number of players is deemed to have lost: 0-1. 
    • If neither team has the minimum number no points are awarded: 0-0.

·        Games will be 30 minutes long, no halves (and no time-outs).  About 5 minutes between games

·        A game is deemed to be completed if 25% or less remains to be played.

·        The home team is responsible for the game sheet. 

    • Both teams shall furnish a complete list of players & coaches.
    • Referee provides his name, registration number.
    • The game sheet must be fully completed and signed by the respective coaches and game official.

·        All FIFA rules apply, except for the following:

·        Inform the coaches before the game.  Substitutions will be allowed only at a kick-off, a goal kick, after a goal or for an injured player.  In addition, substitutions may be permitted on a throw-in, when initiated by the offensive team.  The referee must be advised of all substitutions.  Players enter at mid-field.

  • If the appointed referee has not arrived after a 15 minute grace period and coaches are in agreement:
    • A registered, qualified official in attendance can substitute, or
    • Each coach can referee half of the game.

 

Referee Details

·         You do not have to tolerate any verbal or physical abuse directed toward either yourself or players on the field.  If this occurs stop the game (re-start with a dropped ball).  Speak to the coaches.  They are responsible to correct the situation.  If the abuse continues, inform the coaches that the game is abandon.  Leave the field and complete a Special Incident report.

·         Both corner and linesman flags can be obtained from Head Ref

·         The game sheet and any match reports must be completed in full and signed. The completed game sheet are to be delivered to Head Ref preferably immediately after the game or within 24 hours of the game. 

·         Match reports include: Caution reports (yellow cards), Dismissal reports (red cards) and Special Incident reports.  These can be filled out when you delivered the game sheets.

·         If you cannot make an assignment, you are responsible for arranging a substitute referee using your game schedule and the accompanying list of referees.  Make arrangements at least 1 week prior to your game and inform the Head Referee (call and leave a message).– ·        Failure to appear at your game or to arrange a substitute will result in a fine of the match fee for your next game.
