and Responsibilities of the Director - Referees
Appointment: As stated in the DRAMSC
constitution the Director - Referees is an appointed member of the executive.
Specific Guidance for age/league:
The following are the general duties and responsibilities of this position:
Duties and Responsibilities:
•
Act as a member of the executive and carry out duties as assigned.
•
Keep a record of OSA registered referees within the jurisdictional area
of the club.
•
Ensure enough OSA registered referees are available for each season (out
door and indoor as required).
•
Ensure that prospective referees received the OSA approved training.
•
Assign suitably qualified referees to officiate in any and all matches as
the club requires.
•
Ensure that there are a consistent set of rules that referees apply to
any interclub competitions.
•
Provide advice and encouragement to new and junior referees.
•
Ensure that referees and assistant referees receive agreed payment for
all games in which they officiate.
•
Ensure that referees complete all reports as required by the OSA.
•
Ensure that any referee sanctions specified in the rules and regulations
of the club are applied consistently.
•
Issue information/instructions and schedules to area referees prior to
the start of each new season.
