UNITY IN DIVERSITY WEEK
--COME CELEBRATE WITH US--

November 9 to 15, 2008

 
Mark your calendar November 9 to 15, 2008  and join Deep River and area residents in celebrations taking place across Canada to mark the 16th annual Unity in Diversity Week.
 
 Highlights of the activities throughout the week--
 
    Sunday, November 9 at 2:00pm
"Opening Ceremonies
--"
Deep River Town Hall  
Entertainment will feature local Chinese flutists, the St. Mary's Children's Choir and more.
Everyone is welcome and refreshments available.

         Wednesday, November 12,at 7:30pm
"Music Appreciation Night
"
Deep River  Library Program Room
The program will feature musical instruments and music from several countries. 
 Everyone is welcome and refreshments available.
 
    Thursday, November 13 at 7:30pm
Slide Show Event- "A Decade Living In the United Arab Emirates
"
J.L. Gray Building- (back entrance ).
Vhairi and William Walker will entertain with their unique perspective and "slide presentation"  on living a decade in the United Arab Emirates. 
 Everyone is welcome and refreshments available.
 
    Saturday, November 15
"International Potluck Dinner and Entertainment"
Chalk River Lion's Club
Doors open at 5:30pm, dinner starts at 6:00pm
         Participate in the Potluck Dinner and evening of live entertainment.
        Tickets are $3 per person or $9 per family and are available at Tops Video and through  Committee Members.  In addition, please bring a generous main course or a generous dessert for your family  times two. Please attach to your dish a recipe or a list of ingredients.  Please wear your national attire, if possible
